St. Lawrence Catholic Church Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage
Couples are asked to call the parish office at (813)875-4040 ext. 202 to schedule a appointment with a priest six months in advance of wedding and before setting a date. Couples should registered as parishioners at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and be participating in worship by attending Mass weekly and practicing our Catholic Faith.

WORLD WIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER
Is a weekend discovery program designed to give married couples the opportunity to examine their lives together with the one person they have chosen to live with for the rest of their lives. The emphasis is on communication between husband and wife and aimed at revitalizing Christian Marriages.

RETROUVAILLE
The word Retrouvaille means 'rediscovery'. The program offers married couples the chance to rediscover themselves, their spouse, and a loving relationship in their marriage. Ten’s of thousands of couples headed for divorce have successfully saved their marriages by attending a Retrouvaille Weekend.
Retrouvaille is not a spiritual retreat, sensitivity group, seminar, or a social gathering. It is a weekend experience for married couples who have encountered serious trouble in their marriage. The emphasis is on a technique of communication between a husband and wife. During the weekend, a series of in-depth presentations are given. Each presentation, given by a married couple and a priest, focuses on a specific area of a marriage relationship. Couples will be encouraged to put the past behind them and to start 'rediscovering' one another again. Since the weekend is not a 'miracle cure', post-weekend sessions have been designed to continue the marriage renewal that was started on the weekend. Weekends are held at the Franciscan Center in Tampa. Registration fee is $100.00 with donations requested at the conclusion of the weekend.

TEAMS OF OUR LADY
Each “team” consists of five to seven couples who have freely decided to join together to find support in their efforts to lead Gospel lives. They find fellowship, growth in the spiritual life of the couple and family through a program of prayer and study, growth in communication between husband and wife, a way of life designed to make their Christian faith a daily living experience. Team couples find that over time they create a Christ-centered community of friends willing to share in and support family life, build new friendships, and enjoy a spiritual intimacy with the group.
