PARISH, SCHOOL, AND SUNDAY YOUTH FORMATION

Monthly Stewardship Project

We have established a monthly Stewardship project that involves both the school and the parish.  A full year schedule has been developed and is presented below.  This schedule revolves around the “Year for Priests.”  Inspired by Scripture, the words of St. John Vianney (patron of priests) and other holy priests, we seek to share our time, talent, and treasure with others.

Our monthly Stewardship projects will include:- Year-round outreach: Every third Saturday/Sunday of the month, a food collection for St. Vincent de Paul is taken.  Donations may be placed in the bins in the church.

- Each month, we will have a parish-wide outreach project, a suggested family project and a “For Our Priests” project during this “Year for Priests”.

June and July – We are called to feed the hungry.

Outreach: Canned and non-perishable food drive for Society of St. Vincent de Paul/3rd Sunday of the month

For Our Priests: At least once per week, pray the Prayer for Priests

Suggested Family Project: As a family, volunteer for one of the organizations that serves the hungry in our area. (St. Vincent de Paul, Metropolitan Ministries, Faith Café, etc.) Please share your experiences with us.

Teaching Connections:

Scripture – “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food…” Matthew 25: 34-35
