We are pleased to present St. Lawrence parishioners that have been recognized for their service to our parish.  We have two awards for service, one presented by the parish and one presented by the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

 

St. Jude Apostle Award

The St. Jude Apostle Award, first bestowed in 1999, is given each year in the Diocese of St. Petersburg by Bishop Robert Lynch as a way of recognizing those persons showing distinguished and outstanding service to their parish. This medal acknowledges the great gift of the Church, its people, exemplified in these individuals who in their generosity and love of their faith have greatly contributed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The parishioners from St. Lawrence that have received this distinguished award are listed below:

The James and Ida Topakian Award, established by Fr. Tom Morgan in 2009, has been named in honor of long-time parishioners James and Ida Topakian, who served St. Lawrence for 17 years as dedicated sacristans and daily Mass lectors. Their quiet, behind-the-scenes service to St. Lawrence is remembered in this award. The parishioners from St. Lawrence that have received this distinguished award are listed below:

 

 

Celtic Order of Merit Award

 

The Celtic Order of Merit Award is normally awarded to graduates of St. Lawrence Catholic School, who are currently in high school or college, who have accomplished something of significance during their ongoing educational career.

 

 

 

NCEA Distinguished Alumni Award

 

This award is intended to honor a graduate of St. Lawrence Catholic School who has made a contribution to American life and/or the Catholic Church. The recipient must have graduated from St. Lawrence Catholic School at least ten years prior to receiving the award.
