St. Lawrence, in conjunction with Boy Scouts of America (BSA), is opening scouting to include both genders. For Cub Scouts, which is grades K through 5, all Pack events will be boys and girls combined. The grade specific dens will be separated by gender for rank advancement. For Scouts BSA, which is 6th grade through age 18, St. Lawrence will charter an additional Troop for girls as the existing Troop will remain boys only. Some activities, for example, merit badge workshops, Scout Sunday and Council camps, will be open to scouts from any troop (as they are today). For more information, contact Chris Wilkerson firstname.lastname@example.org 813-334-6690 for Cub Scouts and Ben Keating email@example.com 813-766-1830 for Scouts, BSA. The existing St. Lawrence Girl Scout program is not being affected by these changes.
